Zero is a centrifuge created by ARA that requires zero electricity which can be used for both research and medical diagnosis in resource-scarce communities. With its solid aluminum structure and simple, scalable architecture, Zero sets scientists free from their traditional laboratory settings. With its rotational speed over 2,500 RPM, Zero makes it possible for rapid on-site tests for viral diseases such as Ebola and African Swine Fever, as well as toxin tests for food and water. Zero is offered in two different versions; a biodegradable 3D-printed model and a robust solid aluminum model.
