Through sophisticated electromagnetic detection, this phone mount is able to sense when a device is placed in it and automatically clamps shut, grasping securely using curved arms. It will only close when an electronic device is placed on it, and not any other object. Once in place, the device is charged through Qi wireless charging. It comes with all the necessary safety features and protections, and the bottom ledge can be adjusted up and down to best position the device for wireless charging. Use of a supercapacitor means that, even when the ignition is off, the side-positioned touch-sensitive button is still able to open the clamp.
