The design concept draws from the late Qing Dynasty merchant culture and local customs. Line drawing techniques and tea receipts that circulated during the late Qing Dynasty have been used to seal the bottom of the tea brick. We use three traditional Chinese colors for each type of tea. The packaging is made with handmade rice paper and printed with wood-block prints, all done by hand. The packaging is designed to invoke China’s rich cultural legacy. The pigments, bonding glue and bundled straw ropes are all made with natural materials.
