The Gohan is a rice cooker which, by means of two interior pots, stacked one on top of the other, produces steam and in this way cooks the rice, while the water remains below boiling point. This innovative method prepares rice gently and without damaging the fine rice grains. Thus the rice acquires a pleasant consistency which is not too sticky, while the taste remains in the grains. The form of the rice cooker is reminiscent of traditional Japanese rice cooking pots; the overall impression is, however, modern.
