Computer-based workflows are often a deciding factor in the development of new ideas. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i has been designed to enhance creative productivity in small and medium businesses. Its design combines an internal 13.3" WQHD display with a 12" auxiliary display on the outside of the lid. This second display was designed as a user-friendly e-ink touchscreen. Compared to general LCD screens, this technology offers a long battery life and is also easy on the eyes. The e-ink display is placed on the outside of the laptop so that users can easily access it, for example, to check and keep an eye on their calendar events and e-mails or to quickly record inspirations or jot down ideas. Just like using a simple tablet device, this can be done without having to open the notebook or having to flip the screen, as is the case with most convertible laptops on the market. The e-ink display gives direct access to the Windows operating system, which means that it gives users access to all Windows apps for their work. The e-ink display can also be operated using the finger or a matching stylus. This notebook uses magnalium for the main part of the casing to reduce the weight of the device. An integrated fingerprint power button on the side of the laptop is easy to reach no matter which screen is being used.
