MeHandA
Myoelectrics enables people with an amputation to control prostheses with the help of the electricity generated by the biochemical processes in muscle cells. With impressive functionality, the MeHandA bionic hand prosthesis enables patients with one workable muscle group to control the hand from either two or one electrode. The prosthesis features proportional control of speed and a gripping force of 90 newtons, providing well-coordinated work of all five fingers. With increased speed and precision of movements, it offers more than 100 different patterns of artificial hand gestures. This prosthesis thus makes everyday life easier and showcases a functionality of natural appearance. The fingers also have the function of cushioning an object when gripping, as each finger acts independently of each other. The minimum time to grip the hand from a fully open to a clenched fist is 1.2 seconds. With the help of a software program, users have the ability to customise the options for myoelectric trigger signals and certain gesture patterns for switching between different grips. The charge level indicator positioned on the wrist is easy to see. Sensitivity adjustment of the sensors can be carried out mechanically, as well as remotely via Bluetooth connection using an application installed on a PC. A clearly designed touch panel supports switching and changing gestures intuitively.
