A lot of eyeglass frames are made of plate metal with a thin lens groove, but the wear and tear of putting glasses on and taking them off again, the pushing and pulling forces between the thin metal lens groove and the lens causes damage to the side of the lens. The purpose of this patent-pending design is to prevent lens breakage. Even though these eyeglass frames are made from a thin metal plate, no matter how wide the temples are spread apart, no force is transmitted to the lens groove, so the lens does not break.
