Thanks to a volume 1/19 that of a traditional lifebuoy, the ALS-01 is convenient to carry, yet has sufficient buoyancy to keep a large person afloat in water. This is an invaluable accessory for any water sport, but particularly those – such as surfing, kayaking, or water skiing – where there's not a lot of room for heavy equipment. ALS-01’s capsule shape makes it easy to open by hand. Just pull the safety ring and throw it into the water next to the person in need of help.
