“Mimicries” is a natural sciences education television series for preschool children, broadcasted on NHK ETV from 17:35 every Monday. The program sets “mimicry”, “copying” or “imitating”, as its main concept. In the program, similar patterns and shapes that are seen in the nature such as “spirals”, “branches”, and “hexagons” are introduced, and through speculating and deducing the rules or meanings that lies within them, the program aims to nurture the scientific mind of children.
