FREE.1 is an inexpensive and well-considered hardware extension to Skype with the operational familiarity of the telephone. It translates Skypes point-and-click PC interface into simple keypad and toggle operations, thereby extending Skypes virtual service into a physical user experience. A large opening at the receiver area significantly eliminates cross-talk echoing effects and makes possible the delivery of ultra clear sound quality on both ends of the line. This unique opening doubles as a finger grip or hook end, adding a playful element to the Skype experience. The handset is slim and compact for comfortable grip and portability with a laptop. There is a central toggle-scroll for easy contact list searches, buttons for Skype window launch, menu flipping, SkypeOut with pre-dial country codes, and three user-defined shortcut keys.
