The “essen.momente” and “La Défense – stage urbain” CDs and the “Lisboa.reloaded” DVD by Michael Rüsenberg are soundscape compositions, featuring blends of real urban sounds, including the relevant cities’ pedestrian zones, industrial plants and own unique tapestries of noise. The objective was to design packaging that would do justice to the compositions, and an innovative solution was found which stands out from what is usually produced and offers a foretaste of the experiences that can be expected from its contents. The use of cardboard as a raw material as well as two screen-printed colors accentuates the authentic, powerful impression of the sounds both at the visual and tactile level.
