Since many patients and clinical diagnoses cannot simply be assigned to just one single medical area or specialist field, everyday work in clinical operations is faced time and again with highly complex tasks. As an innovative image-guided therapy system, the Azurion 7 C20 with FlexArm is particularly suitable for multidisciplinary use in hybrid operating rooms. Due to its system design, it offers a new kind of flexibility in imaging for a wide variety of interventional procedures, as well as the greatest possible freedom in the positioning of medical teams. It allows staff from different clinical disciplines to work in the same room, which delivers both optimised care and better use of space. For example, it facilitates an easy combination of surgical and endovascular interventions, cardiac and peripheral procedures or endovascular and orthopaedic interventions. Powered by a smart kinematic engine, the Axsys motion control system enables simple and intuitive control via eight individual motion axes. Thanks to the FlexArm, excellent imaging results can thus be achieved without having to reposition the patient or move the table. Even the most complex system movements are easy to perform using a single controller. This enables medical staff to react quickly and precisely to changes or arising complications. Misunderstandings between staff are effectively reduced and there no longer is a need to switch back and forth between the sterile area and the control room.
