Hultafors 209
Demolition work in buildings is often hard and requires a high degree of manual skill. In addition, demolition workers often end up working in awkward spots. The Hultafors 209 wrecking bar has been adapted exactly for work in such difficult environments. With its ergonomically designed grip, the bar rests comfortably in the hands of the user; the handle is made of santoprene, a material that makes the grip more comfortable than standard steel handles. Furthermore, the handle and the bar of the Hultafors 209 are shaped for balance and easy handling, ensuring safety at work. The ergonomics of the wrecking bar were optimised so that more force is transferred from the hand to the bar, a feature that translates into less overall effort exerted by the user. The claw of the wrecking bar is adjustable to nine different positions to make the tool fit the user’s preferred working position. The claw was optimised for pulling out nails, and the tool is equipped with a hole for securing it when working at heights. Another innovative feature of this wrecking bar is that the claw may be angled and fastened towards the bar. The tool can thus be turned around and even be used where space is confined. The Hultafors 209 possesses an elegant language of form as well as well-balanced product graphics that contribute to lend this traditional tool a new appearance.
