Huo-Yan
Temporary architectures, especially in the medical field, must comply with highly specific requirements. The Huo-Yan mobile testing station was developed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the realisation that traditional laboratories and testing stations suffer from weaknesses in such an exceptional situation. The design of this project is fully coordinated to deal with the conditions during such a medical challenge. The Huo-Yan station can be easily stored, expanded and transported, and thus can contribute effectively to pandemic prevention. The station comprises of four functional areas: the sample receiving area, the reagent preparation area, the sample preparation area, and the sample amplification area. In addition, there are also spaces intended for other uses, for example as an interactive optical access control system or as a dressing room. The individual elements are equipped with high-precision medical devices, while the smart fresh air system helps realise the conversion of positive and negative pressure. When fully packed, the station also allows for easy air transportation by cargo plane. On site, it offers a flexible choice of set-up location, an adaptable layout, quick assembly and rapid commissioning. For a truck-mounted laboratory, the devices come pre-installed onto the cabin floor. The cabin can thus be driven to the target location for local screening, which in turn allows carrying out large-scale testing.
